How to see us in person

Lee-Jackson Memorial Park is partially open for visitation.  We are located just off Interstate I-81 at Exit 200 in Fairfield, Virginia.  Please email us in advance if you need any special accommodations or have questions.  Thank you!


NOTICE: By entering upon our property you agree you have read and accepted the facility usage agreement below and will obey all rules, park policies, any signage posted at the park.  Failure to do so may result in a trespassing complaint.

Lee-Jackson Memorial Park facility usage agreement and rules

USAGE AGREEMENT

Do not enter upon the property of Lee Jackson Park, LLC. (D.B.A. Lee-Jackson Memorial Park) without first reading and agreeing to all the following rules and policies and to providing indemnification to Lee-Jackson Park, LLC. and its members, management, and staff as detailed below.  Entering upon the property without accepting this entire agreement including all the rules and policies detailed herein will be treated as Trespassing.

EMERGENCIES

If you have an emergency requiring medical attention or law enforcement call 911 immediately.  You agree to report any incidents or emergencies to the Park Manager, as soon thereafter as possible by calling (540) 461-0389.  If the manager is unavailable please leave a message or text. 

Restricted and Dangerous Areas

For your Safety: NO Trespassing is allowed in Lee-Jackson Memorial Park in many areas including any wooded areas, construction zones, and on or upon any monuments and memorials without written permission or unless accompanied by those authorized to do so by the Park Manager.  All areas to the west side of the access road lying between the access road and Ridge Road (Rt. 613) are strictly off limits.  Visitors are strictly limited to the use of the existing paved roads, graveled walking trails, gravel parking lot, the mowed meadow around the main flag pole and the nearby mowed picnic area.  Visitors must obey all signage for restricted areas at all times.

Video Surveillance

Please be advised  that Lee-Jackson Memorial Park utilizes video monitoring for security purposes.  You agree that by entering upon the property that you will be under video surveillance and that you consent to such for yourself and any accompanied minors by entering the facility.  The contact individual for any group activity agrees that he or she has advised the parents or guardians of any minor accompanying them of the Park's Video Surveillance policy prior to entering the facility. 

No Unauthorized Use

No unauthorized use of the property is allowed for any purpose without prior written permission other than viewing the monuments and memorials and walking or physical exercise.  Visitors may utilize the picnic area provided they remove all trash from the park or place it in a collection bin if one is provided.  

Group Activities

No Group Activities such as political or social meetings, parties, or other gatherings shall be conducted at the Park without prior written authorization with the exception of small family or civic groups of 10 or less individuals who are visiting the Park and wish to utilize the picnic area for a purpose that does not violate any of the other rules for the Park.  Please contact us in advance if you wish to hold any group activity at the Park.

Hours

Access to the park will be from 1 hour after sunrise until sunset.  Anyone found upon the property outside of these hours without written authorization shall be deemed to be trespassing.

Vehicles

No Vehicles of any type except mobility devices are allowed in the Park except upon designated roads and parking area without written permission.

Other Rules:

  • All laws and regulations must be obeyed
  • NO Soliciting without prior authorization
  • Pets must be on a leash and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals.  
  • NO Alcohol or Recreational Drugs are allowed on the property
  • NO Littering - All trash must be removed by visitors.  If you bring it, take it.
  • NO Camping
  • NO Skateboards or similar activities
  • NO Fires
  • NO Fireworks
  • NO Hunting or Fishing
  • NO Metal Detecting or Relic Hunting
  • Minors must be accompanied by a Supervising Adult

Failure to Obey

Failure to obey Park rules or to obey any laws upon the property may result in criminal prosecution and/or being permanently banned from the property. 

Indemnification

Please keep in mind that Lee-Jackson Memorial Park is accessible to its members and Park Staff, and that the Park is an unsecured facility and is generally accessible with limitations by the public.  Anyone entering the property shall agree to save, indemnify, and hold harmless Lee Jackson Park, LLC and its members, staff, manager, or employees against any and all liability, claims, judgments, or demands, including demands arising from injuries or death of all persons and damage to property, arising directly or indirectly out of obligations herein undertaken or out of the operations conducted by the user, save and except claims or litigation arising through the sole negligence or sole willful misconduct of the property owner.  In the case of entrance upon the property by a group, The Responsible Party for such group further agrees that he or she has informed all group participants of this agreement and indemnification, has provided all participants with a copy of said agreement and identification, and has obtained the written consent of all participants to this agreement and indemnification, or has obtained the written consent of the parent(s) or guardian(s) in the case of participating minors, prior to entering the facility.  It is the intention of the parties that the indemnity provided for by this agreement shall provide for indemnity to the fullest extent provided for by law. 


SEVERABILITY:

In the event any provision of this Agreement is determined to be void or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the remainder of this Agreement, which shall continue to be in force.   

Electronic Signature and Acceptance

Each Party agrees that this Agreement and any other documents to be  delivered in connection herewith may be electronically signed, and that  any electronic signatures appearing on this Agreement or such other documents are the same as handwritten signatures for the purposes of validity, enforceability, and admissibility.


If any visitor does not wish to sign this agreement electronically, that person may contact Lee-Jackson Park, LLC. in writing in advance of their visit to request a paper copy to be sent to them which must be returned and received by Lee Jackson Park, LLC. prior to such person entering the property.
