-  Remain respectful at all times.  These events commemorate the character  and virtues of Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. 'Stonewall' Jackson and as  such, we advise participants to act in a manner consistent with the  views held by Lee on honor, service, and duty. "We have but one rule here, and it is that every [participant] be a gentleman" (or lady) - R.E.Lee

-   The Stonewall Brigade SCV strongly condemns the misuse of any symbol, especially Confederate ones, for racist or political purposes and we will vigilantly defend those symbols against such uses.  We believe the open display of such symbols in the context of their historical significance and by those who now wish to show their solidarity  preserving our past.  Those who in anyway wish to misuse these symbols   are not welcomed to be a part of our efforts to preserve the legacy of our Confederate ancestors.
