Below you will find the various events and activities which will be part of the Lee-Jackson Day holiday in Lexington, Virginia for January 12 ~ 13, 2024
We regret that we are unable to offer the Breakfast with the Jackson's event this year as planned, but we are still able to offer a group tour of the house. Tickets are $8 on the Payments Tab under Lee-Jackson Day.

Our Annual Lee-Jackson Day Symposium will return this year to the Hampton Inn ~ Col Alto. The event is free and open to the public. Click on the Speakers Tab for more information on the speakers and topics. (Each presentation will be approximately 45 minutes followed by a question and answer period. Light Refreshments will be provided)
Doors open at 12:00 pm with vendors and meet and greet. Speakers begin at 12:30 pm ~ 5:00 pm Event will also be live streamed. Please check the Facebook Page for live coverage.

Although not an official part of the event, many people will be downtown in support of our history. If you wish to go see them or join in, please be respectful to others and do not block sidewalks or interfere with traffic.
Our Annual Memorial Ceremony will begin at Stonewall Jackson's gravesite at 10:15 am. Come join us as we honor our heroes' expressed desire for spiritual awakening at Jackson Circle in front of the grave and life-size statue of General Thomas J. 'Stonewall' Jackson. Events include a wreath laying ceremony, songs, and military honors.
(For those laying a wreath, please register it in person just before the start of the program. Please read the rules tab concerning weapons, participation, horses)
11:15 am - Lee-Jackson Day Parade Visitors are welcomed to join in the procession or watch. All SCV, UDC, OCR, and reenactor groups are welcomed to participate. Any other groups must contact us to ensure participation as we reserve the right to deny participation to any group or individual. (Please read the rules tab concerning weapons, participation, horses)
Our Annual Memorial Address will be held at the Hampton Inn ~ Col Alto with a talk by our featured speaker Ann McLean, Ph.D.

Our Annual Luncheon will be held at the Hampton Inn Col Alto immediately following the Memorial Address. Cost is $25 per person. Reservations are strongly encouraged as we will have a limited number of tickets available at the door. Our catered meal will feature a 3 meat buffet, six vegetables, three salads, assorted deserts, as well as tea, lemonade, and coffee.

Lee-Jackson Day marks the 1st Anniversary of our announcement of the creation of Lee-Jackson Memorial Park and to celebrate it we are going to allow those who wish to purchase a memorial brick to place it at our flag circle if it is ordered by November 30th. Attendees are welcomed to witness the installation and get a sneak peak at what we are doing at Lee-Jackson Memorial Park.
Join us for an exclusive evening at the Virginia Horse Center Mezzanine in the Anderson Colosseum as we celebrate the 200th Birthday of General Thomas J. 'Stonewall' Jackson. This once in a lifetime event will feature a catered meal and presentation followed by period music and dance. Doors will open at 5:30pm with the meal at 6:00pm. Music and dancing will follow.

Our celebration will begin with a catered meal followed by an address by Author and SCV Chief-of-Heritage Defense J. Ronald Kennedy.
After our meal, we are pleased to bring you a great evening of musical entertainment and dance featuring music by the Susquehanna Travellers and dances called by Tom Mack of the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Era Dancers . We'll start the festivities with singing a happy 200th birthday to Stonewall.
